For over 45 years, our friendship has been a shared journey of laughter, stories, and a mutual passion for creativity. We’re Fox and Raven, and while our lives have taken different paths, we found a common language in the beauty of wood. Our individual approaches to the craft were unique, yet we realized that by combining our talents, we could create something truly special.

Fox and Raven was born from this shared vision: to craft more than just art; to create unique pieces that tell a story and bring a sense of wonder into your home. Every item is a testament to our enduring friendship and our love for creating things by hand.

Fox

Fox has always found joy in working with his hands, whether he was fixing something or creating something entirely new. For years, the practical side of his skills was dedicated to home repairs, but his creative side longed for more.

The true magic, he discovered, lies in transforming raw materials into something special. He found that taking a discarded tree branch and turning it into a unique gift for a loved one brought an unparalleled sense of satisfaction.

His journey into woodworking is a family legacy. He inherited some of his tools and, he believes, some of his talent from his grandfather, a cooper in the early 1900s. The path truly began when he salvaged an old lathe from the side of the road in 2021. Though it was a bit finicky, it sparked an obsession. Soon after, he purchased a new lathe and was completely hooked.

Today, he creates all of his products on this lathe, using wood that he carefully gathers from friends, neighbors, and local sources. While he sometimes buys unique woods not found in Western New York, the care and craftsmanship in every piece are a constant.

Retired from his day job, he now dedicates his time to his workshop, creating things that he hopes you will enjoy just as much as he enjoyed making them.

Raven

Raven has always found joy in the art of creation. For years, she honed her skills not only by making things with her hands but also by sharing that passion with others, using crafting as a way to teach and inspire.

This creative journey led her from the classroom to the workbench, where she spent two decades designing and crafting beautiful jewelry. But her path took an exciting new turn when she discovered the unique beauty of blending traditional woodcraft with modern laser techniques.

Today, Raven’s work is a testament to this evolution. She has expanded her repertoire to include vibrant sublimation prints and other innovative methods, all while staying true to her belief in the power of handmade art. Each piece is a unique fusion of classic artistry and contemporary design, a reflection of a lifelong commitment to the creative process.
